Graveside service for William Hollis, “Peanut Man,” age 66, of Wilsonville, was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Trace Crossing with the Rev. Charles Andrews officiating. Visitation was Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Hollis, who passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at his home, was born March 26, 1941, in Bessemer.

He was a very loving and caring husband, father and paw paw. He never met a stranger. His main joy in life was his family. He was well-respected in the community. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tara; son, Daryl; parents, William and Myrtis Hollis.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Catherine Hollis; children, Jason (Maria), Angie (Tim), Chuck (Laurie), Phillip, Jerri Lynn, Jeff and Christy; grandchildren, Jonika, Austin, Taylor, Savanna, Christy, Cody, Michael and Chad; brothers, Gene, Jimmy (Carol) and Danny; sisters; Pat (David), Brenda (Kenneth) and Carolyn (Patrick); and a host of other family and friends.

Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed
