Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Rice Jr. of Columbiana are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn, to Andrew Tait, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Thomas Tait of Peachtree City, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gracie Nelson and the late Alvin Nelson of Helena, and the late Hilda and Virgil Rice of Vestavia Hills.

She is a 1998 graduate of Thompson High School and a 2002 graduate of

Auburn University with a bachelor of civil engineering. She is a member of

Alpha Xi Delta sorority and is employed in Atlanta by the Georgia Department of Transportation as a bridge design engineer.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Virginia Tait and the late William Tait of Hollidaysburg, Pa. and the late Grace and Edward Volz of Seaford,

N.Y. He is a 1998 graduate of Parkview High School and a 2003 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in civil

engineering. He is employed in Atlanta by Winter Construction Company as an

estimator.

The wedding is planned for June 2008 in Atlanta
