Funeral service for Roberta Emery, 80, of Shelby, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Prospect Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Nick Wells and the Rev. Wayne Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Old Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emery, who passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, at a local nursing home, was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Clanton. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Walter Wells and Charles (Buddy) Emery, and sons, Junior Wells and Douglas Wells.

She is survived by her daughters, Marie (John Wayne) Davis and Kathy (Donny) Smith; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Thorburn, Mary Strange and Linda Berryman; and a host of other family and friends.
