Heather Hines Ray of Calera was recently honored during graduation ceremonies at the University of Alabama-Birmingham by earning her doctorate in physical therapy.

Ray earned the three-year degree after graduating from Troy University with a bachelor’s of science.

She was one of 35 graduates in the second doctor of physical therapy class at UAB.

Heather is the wife of Daryl Ray of Calera and the daughter of Henry and Mary Hines of Alabaster. She is a 1997 graduate of Thompson High School and is currently employed through Enduracare. She works at Bibb Medical Center in Centreville.
