Brechin 60th

David Bryce Brechin and Emma Dorothy Hollis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.

They were married on April 2, 1948 at Woodlawn Methodist Church with a reception following at the home of the late Louise Hollis in Woodlawn.

They have three children, Katherine Brechin Sharich, Kenny and Ellen (Jackson) Brechin, and Kent and Leslie (Gothard) Brechin all of Columbiana; eight grandchildren, Andy and Cherie (Mills) Brechin, Kimberly Brechin, Erik Brechin, Paul Joe and Brandy (Williams) Sharich, Mary Kay Sharich and Lyman Hill, Scott and Sherry (Fowler) Sharich, Lindsey Brechin, and Donnie Brechin; six great-grandchildren, Josh Sharich, Whitley and Trey Hill, Trent and Lauren Sharich, and Courtney Herron.

David Brechin retired after 30 years of service with McWane Cast Iron and Pipe, after which he started Brechin Electric where he worked until 1989 when the company closed.

Dorothy Hollis Brechin retired from Children’s Hospital in 1996 after 30 years of service.

They celebrated this joyous occasion on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Olive Garden with family and friends.
