Funeral service for Wilma Foster Green, age 88, of Harpersville, will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church. The Rev. William Rayfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Harpersville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2008, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Mrs. Green will also lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Green, who passed away March 29, 2008, at her home, was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible Drill Team, and Vacation Bible School. She loved her home, family, flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, R.J. Green; sons, Robert Donald (Judy) Greene and Bobby (Janie) Green, both of Harpersville; daughter, Sara (Jerome) Blankenship of Birmingham; grandchildren, Jeff Blankenship, Ken Blankenship, Todd Greene, Toby Greene and Christi Green; great-grandchildren, Todd Greene, Earl Green, Gillard Greene, Jeff Blankenship, Toby Greene and Kenney Blankenship.
