Bishop-Richey wedding

Ryan Richey of Columbiana and Hylan Bishop of Gadsden were united in marriage on March 8, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. at the Center for Cultural Arts in Gadsden, with a reception following.

The bride is the daughter of Patsy Bishop of Gadsden and Jerry Bishop of Gulf Shores. She is the granddaughter of the late Louise Elliot, the late Dottis Elliot, both of Gadsden, and the late Frank and Ruby Bishop of Ball Play.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Richey of Columbiana. He is the grandson of Fay Porter and the late Richard Porter of Shelby and the late Ferman and Ola Mae Richey of Columbiana.

The bride received a bachelor of science from Jacksonville State University and is currently employed with Etowah County Court Referral Office in Gadsden.

The groom attended the University of Montevallo and is currently employed with Golden and Associates in Birmingham.

The bride wore a long, white, strapless chiffon gown with a crystal-beaded bodice. She carried a bouquet of white, pink and burgundy orchids and roses.

Saxophone player Kevin Moore performed at the ceremony, along with a band.

After their honeymoon the couple resides in Gadsden.
