CHELSEA – Chelsea Hidden Acres recently received a score of 95 out of 100 points from the Alabama Department of Public Health on their Assisted Living Facility Inspection Report.

Owner Paula Armstrong says what makes Hidden Acres’ 16-bed traditional assisted living facility unique is that it does not cater to patients in need of care for dementia, but offers independent assisted living where the residents can come and go in more of a home like environment while also offering patient care.

“People are looking for assistance with medications, nurses on staff, activities, the ability to ask other residents about the facility and how clean and well kept the residents are and conditions of the facility,” Armstrong said.

Armstrong said Hidden Acres offers these services to their residents and has activities such as bingo, checkers, exercise programs, outings and church singings
