Oscar Stanley Graf

Oscar Stanley Graf, 91, died April 14, 2008, at his home in Tuscaloosa, surrounded by his five loving children: Mary Lundell (Bob) of Tuscaloosa, Nancy Graf of Tuscaloosa, Oscar Stanley Graf, Jr. of Tibbie, Frances Rushton (Gregg) of Birmingham and Edward Graf of Calera.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Grace Crawford Graf. Thirteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive him.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1916, in Butler, Ind. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a navigator and received the Purple Heart, 1st Oak Leaf Cluster and several Air Medals for his bravery. He was a civil engineer with Alabama Power until his retirement.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the funeral home with the Rev. Sandy Felkins officiating. Burial will be at St. Andrews Episcopal Church (The Little Red Church) in Gallion, following the service.
