UM had five hits on the day, two each by Cooper and Brantly Clay.

Valdosta swept the Falcons, 8-7 and 1-0, on Saturday.

UM (12-6 GSC, 30-21) has secured at least a No. 3 seed from the GSC East in the conference tournament to be played May 3-7 in Millington, Tenn.
