HOOVER – University of Montevallo freshman Rachel Hartley was named to the All-Gulf South Conference First Team for women’s tennis Friday.

The Mobile native is the first Lady Falcon to be named to the All-GSC First Team.

Teammate Shasta Brown was named to the Second Team last season.

Hartley posted a 5-3 record at No. 1 singles, and a 7-3 record at No. 2 singles this season. She also posted a 9-5 record at No. 1 doubles.

Joining Hartley on the First Team are Pippa Reakes and Yuliya Zelenskaya of North Alabama, Dominique Rothlaender and Raphaella Durante of Valdosta State, Nicole Shanahan of West Alabama, Suzanna Cavalcante Paolo Arevalo and Renata Mattos of West Florida
