County Commissioner Dan Acker was the guest speaker at the Kids First Awareness 10th annual Community Fun Day in Alabaster and spoke on education being the key to success.

This year’s event was called “Be Cool, Stay In School … Focus on the Future.”

The event was sponsored by Hunter Street Baptist Church and included a live performance by Route 56, games, food, the Birmingham Health Care Mobile Unit and the Kids First Reading Mobile Unit.
