Johnson-Hilyer engagement

Angela “Angie” Johnson of Columbiana and Dewayne Hilyer of Jemison announce their engagement.

The bride is the daughter of Tommy and Ann Bayard of Columbiana and the late Earl Connell of Shelby. She is the granddaughter of Roland and Bonnie Rutledge, of Columbiana and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Roberson of Columbiana. She attended Shelby County High School and business classes, and is presently the owner and agent of Farmers Insurance Angela Johnson Agency in Columbiana.

The groom is the son of Charles and Joyce Hilyer of Jemison/Thorsby. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Evans Dawson of Jemison and Mr. and Mrs. George Hilyer of Jemison. He attended Jemison High School and is presently employed with Golden Flake in Birmingham.

The couple will exchange vows June 7, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at OZAN Winery in Calera with a reception following. They will honeymoon at the world famous resort Ladera in St. Lucia in the rainforest overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Upon returning, the couple will reside in Longbranch Estates in Calera
