Funeral service for Joyce Cochran, 70, of Alabaster, was held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 2, 2008, at Alabaster Church of God with Rev. Barnes officiating. Burial followed at Ryan’s Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, May 2, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cochran, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at a local hospital, was born March 1, 1938, in Alabaster. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Lee Bishop.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. Cochran; children, Karen Bishop Brasher, Twana Cochran (Cooter) Denny, Kathy Cochran Donaldson and Johnny Carl Cochran; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Helen Adams, Aetna Holsemback, Joan Johnson and Mary Roman; brother, Pete Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
