Funeral service for Charles Carden, 46, of Shelby was held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed at Shelby Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, May 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Carden, who passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at his home, was born December 8, 1961, in Fort Rucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Ruth E. Carden.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Carden; son, Gary Wayne Stewart; brother, Edwin Gordon (Nancy) Carden and their children, Coby (Jennifer) Carden, Carrie (Kevin) Sapp; brother, Fred Alan (P.J.) Carden and their children, Brandi and Tina Carden; brother, Paul Delay (Samantha) Carden and their children, Christopher, Dexter, Clint and Drake Carden; and a host of other family and friends.
