Cheramis Dance Club celebrates anniversary

The Cheramis Dance Club celebrated its 47th anniversary Friday, April 25, with a formal dinner dance at the Vestavia Country Club.

President Joy Patterson, escorted by Robin Skipper, greeted Cheramis members and guests, after which the ladies of Cheramis and their guests mingled over cocktails in the Grand Ballroom amidst pink and ivory tablescapes accented with pink potted begonias. A buffet dinner was served and followed by a festive anniversary cake. The group The Classics of Birmingham provided the music. New Cheramis members recognized during the dance included Nancy Coggin of Hoover with husband, Thomas; Betty Rogers of Pelham with John Bosshart; and Linda Self of Riverchase with Charlie Steele.
