Six Thompson High School seniors recently competed for scholarships from the Alabaster Pelham Rotary Club.

Rotarian Dick Ritz organized the scholarship opportunity, along with Donna Strange of Thompson High School.

Nick Miles received a $700 scholarship from Rotary. He plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall and major in pre-med.

April Marshall received a $500 scholarship.

She plans to attend UAB in the fall and major in psychology.

Josh Trimberger, Taylor Saunders, Ebony Hinton and Greg Herrin each received $50 for their participation in the speech competition
