Air Force Airman 1st Class Shawn P. Garmon has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Ray Garmon and Diane Butler of Birmingham.

Garmon is a 2002 graduate of Oak Mountain High School
