Funeral service for Daniel Blackerby, age 82, of Columbiana, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Roland Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Blackerby passed away May 14, 2008.

He was a native of Shelby County, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, a member of the Chelsea Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Margie, and sister, Ruby.

He is survived by wife of 55 years, Lillian; sons DeWayne (Darlene) and Danny (Kathy); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
