Memorial service for Jack Franklin Horton, Sr., age 68, of Wilsonville will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Horton, who passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at a local hospital, was born June 16, 1939, in Shelby County.

Through the years, Jack had many jobs – the job he loved most was cattle farming and cattle hauling.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Charles, Doyce, Thomas, Curtis, Arlene and Marie.

He is survived by his wife, Geanie Horton; his children, Frank Horton, Darlene Smith, and Russell (Peggy) Horton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy, Fred, James, Leon and Jimmy; his sisters, Mammie, Virginia and Martha; and a host of other family and friends.

Jack requested in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Children’s Hospital of Birmingham.
