On April 28, a record setting 293 University of Alabama College of Education students were initiated into the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon, a nationally based honor fraternity started in 1933.

This honor was bestowed upon the following local students: Jennifer R. Finn of Montevallo and Jane Ellen Harris of Columbiana.
