Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keener of Helena are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Michelle Leigh to Richard Wayne McClanahan Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard McClanahan Sr. of McCalla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bert and Linda Campbell and Arvil and Robbie Keener of Gallant. Miss Keener is a 2003 graduate of Pelham High School and a 2007 cum laude graduate of Auburn University. Michelle received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science. She is currently attending Auburn’s Harrison School of Pharmacy.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Joe and Juanita McClanahan and Sylvia Gossett of Bessemer. Mr. McClanahan is a 2002 graduate of McAdory High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University. Richard received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science. He is currently attending Auburn’s Harrison School of Pharmacy.

The couple will exchange vows July 12, 2008, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gallant
