FROM STAFF REPORTS

Nick Crawford, assistant professor of English, has been selected as a participating scholar for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute, “Shakespeare’s Blackfriars’ Playhouse: The Study, the Stage and the Classroom,” to be held at the American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Va.

The intensive five-week program provides a mixture of theory, practice and product as participants learn from specialist scholars, deliver papers, work with a company of Shakespearean actors (in a replica of Shakespeare’s indoor theater) and take away advanced techniques for the undergraduate classroom
