Shelby Baptist held an awards program May 12 for nurses as the grand finale of Nurses Week celebrations.

Administrators announced Alison Haynes as the 2008 Shelby Baptist Nurse of the Year. Haynes works in the Women’s Center.

Other Nurse of the Year candidates included: Myrna Galura (Med-Surg), Martha McMinn (Critical Care), Susie Smith (ED), Amanda Littleton (Operative/Invasive).
