Tommy and Hilda Moon of Calera proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Melinda Moon, to Donny Ray Sisco of Brierfield, son of Ray and Brenda Sisco of Brierfield.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Velma Morgan and the late Lewis Morgan of Piedmont and James R. Miles and the late Audrey Miles and the late Barney Moon, all of Calera.

She is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently employed by the Shelby County Board of Education as a teacher at Calera Middle School.

The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harlice Edwards of Montevallo and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Kelly Sisco of Brierfield.

He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. He is currently a firefighter with the city of Pelham.

The wedding will be held at 5 p.m. on June 7, 2008, at the American Village in Montevallo. The couple will take their honeymoon to Jamaica and return to live in Wilton.
