Students interested in auto market receive college money

The Automotive Aftermarket Association Southeast Educational Foundation (AAASEF) recently announced scholarships for local students.

Chairman Rob Harris of Harris Auto Parts Inc. in Columbiana gave out scholarships to Leah Cofer of Calera, Krystal Parker of Alabaster, Kristen Taylor of Hoover and Emily Edwards of Alabaster.

Chairman Harris also announced that AAASEF has reserved scholarship funds for association members and employees wishing to further their education or enhance their skills at trade schools, junior colleges or manufacturer sponsored clinics. This effort is aimed at enhancing and expanding the capabilities of AAAS members and employees.

Students interested in the automotive aftermarket can complete an online application for scholarships at http://www.automotivescholarships.org and receive consideration for the AAASEF, the GAAS scholarships and other industry awards.
