Winters receives award

Patrick Winters has been appointed to the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Awards.

He is president of Strategic Evaluations and Executive Transitions in Maylene and executive director of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) in Maylene and McLean, Va.

The Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, created by Congress in 1987, is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.

Each year, the program recruits the best experts in business, education, health care and nonprofit fields to serve as members of the board.

There are six Award eligibility categories: manufacturing, service, business, health care, education and nonprofits
