Bobbie Ruth Payne, born in Alabama on Feb. 22, 1958, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the age of 50. She was a resident of Pelham. A loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, she spent her life taking care of her family.

Her dad, Roland J. Smith, preceded Mrs. Payne in death.

Survivors of Mrs. Payne include her husband of 34 years, Troy Payne; mother, Gloria Smith; daughters, Lisa Sue Davalos (Roberto) and Monica Velazquez (Jesus); son, Johnny Lee Payne; sister, Peggy Hamrick; brothers, Kenneth Wayne Smith, Roland Eugene Smith (Debra) and Randy Smith; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Charter Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Law officiating. Burial was in Dargin Cemetery.

Charter Funeral Home directed. Visitation was held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
