The American Village will host an Independence Day Extravaganza July 4 from noon until fireworks. There will be bands performing throughout the day, face painting and even sword swallowing. The evening will be capped off with a firework show hosted by Dollar Bill Lawson and accompanied by the Montevallo Community Band. Admission is $5 per person. Veterans get in free.
