Registration for the 41st Olympics Day at the University of Montevallo is now available.

The event, to be held Aug. 2, will include golf, tennis and the Hope Bryant Smith Memorial Run among other events.

The Hope Bryant Smith Memorial 5K will start the day, along with a one-mile run/walk, at 8 a.m. On-site registration will begin at 7 a.m. at the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center.

Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories for male and female runners.

UM alumni and friends will also have an opportunty to compete in a two-man scramble beginning at 9 a.m. at the Montevallo Golf Club.

The tennis competition will begin at the same time at the tennis courts near the Student Retreat Center.

Cost of the runs and tennis are $15 each. Golf is $60.

Preregistration for all events is requested by July 18.

Proceeds of the event benefit the Hope Bryant Smith Service Scholarship.
