The Birmingham Water Works Board (BWWB) meter reading equipment will soon be getting a technological upgrade.

RouteSmart Technologies will install up-to-date software on the BWWB’s current meter reading devices.

The Birmingham Water Works Board serves more than 600,000 customers in Jefferson, Shelby, Blount, Walker and St. Clair counties.
