Kieves attend Baptist Fellowship assembly

Jay Kieve, pastor of Crosscreek Baptist Church in Pelham, and his wife Melanie participated in the 18th-annual Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly in Memphis, Tenn., June 19-20.

More than 2,000 Fellowship Baptists attended this year’s assembly. The event included more than 80 ministry workshops, a celebration of missional churches, assembly-wide prayer and discernment and missions projects throughout Memphis.

Keynote addresses were given by Daniel Vestal, CBF executive coordinator, and Lauran Bethell, Baptist minister and human rights advocate.

CBF is a fellowship of more than 3,000 Baptist Christians and more than 1,800 Baptist churches who share a passion for the Great Commission and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice. The 2009 General Assembly will be July 2-3 in Houston, Texas
