Craig and Loray Lamar of Columbiana, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Melissa, to Charles Casey Crupmton, son of Gary and Susan Crumpton of Columbiana.

Miss Lamar is the granddaughter of Raymond and Nancy Moore, Mike Lamar, and the late Juanita Lamar, and she is the great-granddaughter of Eloise Horton , all of Columbiana. She is a 2005 graduate of Shelby County High School. Ashley is currently attending the University of Montevallo and will graduate in May 2009 with an undergraduate degree in Social Science. She is an alumnus of the Kapa Chi of Phi Mu. Ashley is employed in Calera.

Mr. Crumpton is the grandson of Charles and Joyce Tidmore, and Randy and Dale Roe, all of Columbiana. He is a 2004 graduate of Cornerstone Christian School, and a 2008 graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. While attending the University of Montevallo, Casey was an active member of the Eta Omega chapter of Alpha Tau Omega. He was also a founding member of the University of Montevallo Bass Fishing Team. Casey is currently employed in Calera.

The couple will be united as one on Aug. 9, 2008 at Wilsonville United Methodist Church at half past six in the evening. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the prospective groom’s grandparents’ lake house.
