Two local women picked up first-place victories July 19 at the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) semifinal championship for the Northern Florida and Southeast area at the Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta.

Jean Sasso of Calera won first place net in the first flight of competition and Nancy Hess of North Shelby was a member of the first-place scramble division team. Both golfers advance to the EWGA final to be played in Oregon in September.

Carol White of North Shelby was second in low gross.
