Funeral services for Thelma Elizabeth Thompson, 84, of Shelby were held Monday, July 28, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Bay Springs Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 27, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson, who passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008, at a local hospital, was born on April 29, 1924 in Shelby County. She attended Shelby County High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thompson; two brothers, Harold Schrader and Robert Schrader and a grandson, Bubba Thompson.
She is survived by her children, Charles Eugene Thompson, Claude Lee Thompson, William Henry Thompson; one sister, Dorothy Schrader; two brothers, George Schrader and Edward Schrader; four grandchildren, Nancy Morris, Linda Thompson, Michael Thompson and Jamie Lee Thompson; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
