Bertha Allen Evans, age 76, of Thorsby, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008.
She was born on May 27, 1932 in Shelby. She is the daughter of the late Oscar Allen and the late Millie Lawley. Mrs. Evans was a homemaker.
Surviving are husband, Cecil Evans of Thorsby; three daughters, Dianne Pickett of Thorsby, Carol (Terry) Clark of Thorsby, Tina (Mike) Atkinson of Thorsby; six grandchildren, Alan (Shannon) Pickett, Eric Pickett, Brandi (Chris) Burch, Ashley & Evan Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Justis Self, Austin & Brennan Pickett, Gavin Burch and Zackary Ross.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Martin Funeral Home. Services were held Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul McNeil officiating. Interment followed in Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, Thorsby. Martin Funeral Home directed.
