Billy Joe Sparks, born in Alabama on Feb. 21, 1954, of Montevallo, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at the age of 54.
Visitation was held July 29 from 6–8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on July 30 at Charter Funeral Home. Evangelist Rusty Dunlap officiated at the services. Burial was in Elliottsville Cemetery in Alabaster.
Survivors of Mr. Sparks include his loving wife of 36 years, Melody Sparks, sons, Jonathan Sparks and Zachary Sparks, daughters, Nina Jo (Billy James) Benton and Tracey Ann (Mike) Mitchell, father, William Johnson, mother, Gloria Davis, sisters, Nina, Shelia, Kathy, Melissa, Vickie, and Rhonda, one brother, David, four grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah, Haley and Kayla and one great grandchild, Zoey.
