Funeral service for Eulas Mitchell, age 84, of Montevallo was held on Aug. 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Rocko Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo. The Rev. Pate Hughins officiated. Burial followed at Montevallo City Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mitchell, who passed away on Aug. 6, 2008 at his home, was a Marine WWII Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his brother James Mitchell and his sister Margaret Fisher.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gwendolyn Mitchell; daughters, Anita Joyce Williams (Ed) and Brenda Walters (Tommy); son, Eulas Glenn Mitchell; sister, Ida Mae Horton; sister-in-law, Lorene Mitchell; grandchildren, Paige O’Neal Pearson (Winston), Kelly Mitchell Chapman (Kenny Wade) and Christiana Ann Knight; great-grandchildren, Cloie, Brooke and Matt-Matt; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
