Penn State University athletic communications assistant Sean Forrester has been named the new director of sports information at the University of Montevallo.

Forrester takes over for Alfred Kojima, who was named coordinator of special projects for athletics, an administrative position, earlier this summer.

A graduate of Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa., Forrester served as a student assistant in the sports information office for three years, serving as the main contact for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball. He also helped develop the school’s official website, havensports.com, in addition to promoting the Lock Have team through the 2006 NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic regional and national tournament.

Forrester comes to Montevallo from Penn State, where he served as the primary contact for softball and women’s soccer. He has also worked as a media relations assistant at Villanova University and as an intern with the University of Tampa.
