Amos Henry Belcher, Sr., age 73, of Calera made his transition on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008.
He was a longtime resident of Calera, 14-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam veteran.
He was also a member of the Trinity Baptist Church Graymont, 900 Graymont Avenue West.
His loving survivors are: devoted wife, Stella Oden Belcher; children, Anthony (Linda) Belcher, Amos (Tracie) Belcher, Jr., William Belcher, Pamela Belcher and Tracy (Robert) Russell; sisters, Alberta (James) Hall, and Gladys Steen; two stepsons; two stepdaughters; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Service of Memory was held Saturday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at the church, with interment in the Shelby Memory Gardens Calera.
Pastor John E. King, Jr. will officiate.
The remains laid in repose on Aug. 22 from Noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home and on Aug. 23 from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
