George Michael Harris, age 59, of Columbiana made his transition on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008.
He was a lifelong resident of Shelby County, former employee of Alabama Power Company, and member of the Union Baptist Church Columbiana.
Service of Memory was Aug. 16 at noon at the church.
Pastor Fredrick Gamble will officiate the service, with interment in the Wallace-Campbell Cemetery Columbiana.
His loving survivors are devoted wife, Gwendolyn Carter Harris; son, Terry (Phyliss) Harris; mother, Eddie Lucille Harris; brothers and sister, Clarence (Dorothy) Harris, Rufus (Janie) Harris, and Karen (Floyd) Lilly; grandchildren, Terrance, Nikitia, and Ebony. The Remains laid in repose Aug. 15 from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
