Donna Jo Grier, 49, born in Alabama on June 3, 1959, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, in a local hospital. Donna was a resident of Thorsby.
Donna was a loving and beloved mother, sister and grandmother that will be eternally missed.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Charter Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Funeral services followed at the funeral home at 1 p.m., with brother Wayne Hughes officiating.
Burial was in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her parents, Howard Fain Grier and Henry Ella “Pat” Overstreet, preceded Donna in death.
Survivors of Donna include her son, James Edward Moore Jr. (Keri) of Alabaster; daughter, Bridgette Moore (DJ) of Six Mile; brothers, Thomas Grier (Renea) of Childersburg, Gerald Grier of Columbiana, Mark Grier of Shelby, Jeff Grier (Cindy) of Maylene and Wendell Overstreet (Chere) of Columbiana; sister, Kim Grier (Burrell) of Montevallo; and one grandchild, Kody Moore.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
