“But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord …” Jonah 1:3.

What are you running from? Is it really worth running? Are you gaining any more time by running?

Many people are missing out on God’s blessings, missing out on great opportunities, missing out on the virtuous woman or faithful man you’ve been praying to God for. And many are even missing out on God’s saving power for the soul sick with sin.

Many people are running from God and don’t realize that they are loosing precious time, talent and energy that they will never get back. Energy that could be used for Him. In fact, when running, we miss out on so much and begin to settle for barely enough in life because we’ve chosen to run away from God, when we should be running after Him.

In fact, God sent His only son to die for our sins just so we could come close to Him.

So, why are we running and is it really worth all the energy?

Is it really worth missing Gods blessing for your life? Is it really worth missing the blessing of being free from sin and shame? Is running really worth it because you’ve had a rough past, or your afraid of responsibility, or you fear that you can’t handle life.

Is it really worth running? Ultimately friends, isn’t every knee going to bow and tongue confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

In 1 John 1:9, it reads, “Confess your sins; the Lord is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.”

Don’t you think its time to stop running, time say yes to God and surrender to His will? Don’t you think its time for a change in your life?

I mean after all, Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Friends, lets not waist our precious lives running from the will of God, lets enjoy the blessings and the beauty of running after God. Remember James 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

Just say “Yes, Lord!”
