Graveside service for Jack Wood, 89, of Montevallo, was held Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Cemetery, Vincent.
Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
Mr. Wood, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at his home, was born on Jan. 31, 1919 in Trussville.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ethel Garrett Wood; brothers, Coy Wood, George Wood, Marion Wood, Jr. and a sister, Naleri McGowan.
He is survived by his daughters, Loretta (Bill) Cobb of Montevallo, Annette Culver of Villa Rica, Ga.; four grandchildren; nine great–grandchildren; four great–great–grandchildren; sister, Jewel Pagliarini of Hueytown; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed.
