Funeral service for Gertie Jones, age 93, of Columbiana, was Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Columbiana.
Burial followed at Pinelawn Gardens.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Jones, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at a local nursing home, was born June 9, 1915, in Chilton County.
She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church and owner of Jones Flowers for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, N.A. Jones, and a son, the Rev. Ralph Jones.
She is survived by her son, Morris (Jane) Jones; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
