Funeral service for Joel P. Nix, 42, of Shelby, was held Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Bryan Memorial Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
Mr. Nix, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at a local hospital, was born Sept. 3, 1966, in Shelby.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Eva Nix; one brother, Shane (Shelly) Nix; three sisters, Pam Jones, Gail (Wayne) Fox and Sandra (Ralph) Abbott; 11 nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directed.
