Funeral service for Christine Glass, age 76, of Calera, was held Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church. Burial followed at Shelby Memory Gardens.
Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
To those of whom her life touched, we would like to honor our mother by announcing her passing to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Glass was born on Aug. 1, 1932 in West Blocton, Ala.
She bravely fought Parkinson’s disease to the end.
She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. and Oalar Lawrence, her former husband, Alton L. Glass, brother, Robert MacArthur Lawrence and a sister, Clara Gibson.
She is survived by her son, Dale Glass of Calera, daughters, Georgia Ann Glass of Fayette, Ala., Pamela King of Calera and Shelia Lawrence of Thorsby.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Justin, Joshua and Kenton Glass, Joseph and Zachary King, Courtney Dunn and one great grandchild, Madison Glass, sisters, Ruby Price, Myrtle Murphy (Johnny) and Annie White. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends at Columbiana Health and Rehab.
