Lila Lee Stone Hester, of Sylacauga died at the age of 85 on November 9. She passed away at the Coosa Valley Medical Center.
Her service was held at the Childersburg Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The burial was at Wetumpka City Cemetery.
The visitation was at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel, Nov. 10 from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
The Rev. Donald Morris officiated.
Lila was preceded in death by a son, Winford Eugene Gardner.
She is survived by her sons, James Daniel (Barbara) Gardner of Harpersville; Wilford Leon Gardner of Childersburg; Coley Ray Gardner of Wetumpka; Preston Harold Gardner of Sylacauga; and Arthur Ricky Hester of Sylacauga. She is also survived by a daughter, Earline Gardner (Wayne) Foster of Harpersville; and a brother, Wink Thomas of Harpersville; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers were Daniel Gardner, Don Gardner, Darren Gardner, Nick Gardner, Adam Gardner and Michael Gardner.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Sylacauga Health Care and the Coosa Valley Medical Center.
