ISS to present student-directed plays

Students enrolled in a play production class at Indian Springs School will direct one-act plays on Dec. 11 and Dec. 16 in the ISS John Badham Theater at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door each night. Admission is $5.

On Dec. 11, Tyler Schmitt will direct “Death Knocks” by Woody Allen, Alex Garvey will direct “Sure Thing” by David Ives, Austin Guthrie will direct “Support Your Local Police” by Jules Tasca and Collin Janich will direct “Judgment Call” by Frederick Stroppel.

On Dec. 16, Robert Chiles will direct “Clevinger’s Trial” by Joseph Heller, Jennie Fisher will direct “The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year” by John Guare and Elizabeth Hodges will direct “Dr. Fritz” by David Ives.

Since the start of the semester, students have studied various plays and directed each other in short scenes. Student have also conducted auditions, bargained over actors and scheduled rehearsals.
