Joe Wayne Chandler, 65, of Clanton died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at his residence in Clanton.
He was born Thursday, June 10, 1943, in Huntsville, son of the late Wiley H. Chandler and the late Virginia Saint Chandler.
He was a dispatcher and truck driver for Wadsworth Oil Company.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Jarvis Chandler of Clanton; daughter, Kim (Kirk) Mims of Jemison; two sons, Randy (Bonita) Jordan of Clanton, Mark Jordan of Alabaster; granddaughters, Kelsey and Karmen Mims of Jemison; grandsons, Nathan and Alex Jordan of Clanton; brother, Wendell T. Chandler of Millbrook; and two sisters, Mary Christmas of Deatsville, Sue Ferguson of Hueytown.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Martin Chapel.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Willard Scott and the Rev. Teddy Chadwick officiating.
Interment followed in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison.
